First, send me an e-mail to req@birge.us with the following information:

(1) What your want your permanent e-mail address to be. For example: jane@birgefamily.net
(2) where you want mail to that address forwarded. For example: jane234@gmail.com

Once you've recieved an e-mail from me confirming that everything is set up, you can optionally setup your e-mail client or service to let you use your new e-mail address. In Gmail, for example, if you go to the "Settings" panel you can add a new account which will let you send mail with your new e-mail address as the return address. In general, you just need to set your e-mail client so that the "From:" or "Reply-to" address is the new address.

You can now tell people to just send things to your birgefamily.net or birge.us address, and you never have to worry about telling everybody your new e-mail address when you change jobs or schools, etc. Just send an e-mail to req@birge.us when your forwarding address changes and I'll update the servers. None of the people who send you e-mail will see any difference.
